Not a bad spot, decent food, inconvenient location. Smoking policy is wack. If u can smoke cigs you should be able to smoke trees it’s a venue and bar. The state makes it so it’s legal to smoke trees where it’s legal to smoke tobacco but obviously this place is against weed. But yet they have a fake dispo “gopher” promoting their hemp products, passing out lighters and merch and stuff for their hemp shop. 🤣 Owners must be confused, probly won’t go back. For a show at least. Would stop by to eat but not to party.

Went on a Monday and was surprised by $5 off on all burgers. A big space that appears to be optimized for live music. Burger was prepared to order, and came out pretty quickly. Will return.

We came to the Doghouse to support a friend of ours, a keytarist who was playing his first concert through the School of Rock program. The space is large but cozy, with plenty of seating in a variety of high-stop and standard tables. We were quickly brought water, our orders were taken, and before we knew it, our food had arrived. We ordered the waffle fries and a cheese quesadilla, both of which were quite delicious and very affordable thanks to all-day Sunday happy hour. Overall, this was a fun place for a show and the food was better than expected at similar venues. We would definitely come here again!

Love it here! Always a good vibe and crowd. The servers are great! And food is pretty good too!

Edit: I’m not sure what changed but within the last year the crowd is rowdy..weekends are the worst. We can feel the bass in our apartments. People park in the lot, hang out for long periods of time, argue/ fight, throw up, and men carrying girls that are so inebriated its sad/sick. It was never like this. The summer isn’t here yet and us neighbors are already having a hard time. The staff and owner(s) and food are great!! i just hope they can tame the patrons down before it gets worse…

All day Sunday happy hour! Hard to beat that. Pricing was very fair. Food was very good bar food. I was little disappointed the nachos used liquid cheese, but the pulled pork on the nachos made up for it.

The Rich History of North St. Paul

North St. Paul is one of the oldest suburbs in the entire state, founded back in 1870 by Henry Castle on the banks of Silver Lake. He named the main downtown streets after his children, and when the village incorporated in 1887 it counted just 221 residents.

The railroad helped the town grow, but it held onto its small-town character. You can still see it today in the brick storefronts that line the historic downtown.
